Fixing SEO Issues with AI (PRO)

User Guide

Every SEO issue listed in the SEO Forge box comes with a clear explanation of what is wrong and how to fix it manually. With PRO, each issue also gets a purple Fix button that uses AI to resolve the problem automatically. This feature is a game-changer for content managers who need to improve dozens or hundreds of pages quickly, because instead of spending 15 minutes manually fixing each issue, you click a button and the AI applies a targeted, intelligent fix in seconds.

How AI Fix Works

When you click the purple Fix button on an issue, the AI reads your full post content, understands the specific problem, and applies a targeted change. It does not rewrite your entire post — it modifies only what is necessary to resolve that one issue. Your voice, tone, and existing content remain intact.

Fix all in one click. When the issues list has more than one fixable problem, a Fix all N button appears next to the Issues heading (where N is the number of fixable issues). Click it to run the AI fix on every issue in one batch — the credit cost shown on the badge is the total across all issues. Useful when you want to clear a fresh post end-to-end without a click per issue.

Types of Issues the AI Can Fix

IssueWhat the AI DoesExample
Content is too shortAdds relevant paragraphs that expand on your topic, matching your existing tone and styleA 200-word post about kitchen renovations gets expanded with sections on budgeting, timeline expectations, and contractor tips
No headings foundCreates H2 and H3 headings that organize your content into logical sectionsA wall of text about gardening gets split into “Choosing Your Plants,” “Preparing the Soil,” “Watering Schedule,” and “Common Mistakes”
Keyword missing from first paragraphRewrites the opening paragraph to naturally include the focus keywordAn intro that starts with a personal anecdote gets a second sentence that works in “best running shoes for beginners” naturally
Too much passive voiceIdentifies passive sentences and rewrites them in active voice“The cake was baked by Sarah” becomes “Sarah baked the cake”
Images missing alt textGenerates descriptive alt text for each image based on filename and surrounding contentAn image named sourdough-loaf-fresh.jpg near a recipe gets alt text “Fresh sourdough bread loaf cooling on a wire rack”
No internal linksFinds related pages on your site and inserts contextual linksA post about running shoes gets a link to your “Running Gear Guide” article woven into a relevant sentence
Keyword density too lowAdds natural mentions of the keyword throughout the contentThe keyword “meal prepping for beginners” gets woven into two additional sentences where it fits naturally
No external linksAdds a link to an authoritative source that supports a claim in your contentA health claim gets a link to a relevant study or medical authority website
Meta description too shortExpands the description to the optimal length while keeping the keyword and adding a call to actionA 60-character description becomes a 150-character one with the keyword bolded in search results

Step-by-Step: Fixing Issues with AI

Here is a complete walkthrough of fixing five common issues on a single post:

  1. Open the post — you are editing an article about “best home office desks” with a score of 42 (red).
  2. Look at the Issues list — you see: Content too short, No H2 headings, Keyword not in first paragraph, No internal links, Images missing alt text.
  3. Fix “Content too short” — click the purple Fix button. Wait 5 — 8 seconds. The AI adds 400 words covering desk materials, ergonomic features, and price ranges. Your content now has enough depth.
  4. Fix “No H2 headings” — click Fix. The AI inserts four H2 headings that organize the expanded content into logical sections.
  5. Fix “Keyword not in first paragraph” — click Fix. The AI rewrites your opening sentences to include “best home office desks” naturally.
  6. Fix “No internal links” — click Fix. The AI finds your related article about “home office setup” and inserts a contextual link.
  7. Fix “Images missing alt text” — click Fix. Your three images get descriptive alt text based on their filenames and the surrounding text.
  8. Check the score — it has jumped from 42 to 81 (green). Five clicks, two minutes of work.
  9. Review all changes carefully before saving. Read through what the AI added to make sure it is accurate and sounds like you.
  10. Publish when satisfied.

Real-World Example: Before and After

Before (Score: 38):

A 250-word blog post about kitchen renovation tips. No headings, no internal links, keyword only appears in the title, one image with no alt text.

After AI Fixes (Score: 84):

The same post is now 700 words with three H2 headings (“Planning Your Budget,” “Choosing Materials,” “Hiring a Contractor”), two internal links to related posts, the keyword “kitchen renovation tips” in the first paragraph and naturally throughout, and descriptive alt text on the image.

Important Notes

  • Always review AI changes before publishing. The AI does an excellent job, but you know your audience and brand better than any algorithm.
  • Each fix uses credits. The plugin shows you the exact cost before confirming.
  • You can undo any fix. Press Ctrl+Z (Windows) or Cmd+Z (Mac) immediately after a fix to revert the change.
  • Fixes are cumulative. You can fix issues one at a time, and each fix builds on the previous ones.

What Happens Without PRO

On the free plan, you see the full list of issues with explanations and manual fix instructions. The purple Fix buttons are visible but require a PRO license. You can still improve your score by following the suggestions and making the edits yourself.

> Good to know: After fixing several issues, click Re-analyze to refresh the score. You will often see a dramatic jump — going from red to green after just three or four fixes is common.

> Tip: Start with the issues that have the biggest impact on score: content length, keyword in title, and heading structure. These high-weight checks move the needle the most.

Common Mistakes

  • Clicking Fix on every issue without reading the results. Each fix is good, but you should read the AI additions to catch any inaccuracies.
  • Fixing keyword density by clicking the button repeatedly. One fix is enough — running it multiple times can push density too high.
  • Not entering a focus keyword before using Fix. Many fixes depend on knowing the keyword. Enter it first.
